Information for LBNL visitors: If you are visiting us, we should have entered your information in the access system, and you should have received an email confirmation when approved. If you haven't received it, please let us know as soon as possible. Please note that, depending on circumstances, the approval process can take up to 60 days, so visits on short notice are not always possible. You'll need the confirmation email (on the phone is fine) with the QR code, together with a Government ID (a "REAL ID" or passport), in order to get into the LBNL site. 

The easiest way to get to the site from the BART station or UC Berkeley is to take the free "Blue Uphill" shuttle. You can get off at the Building 65 stop and ask for directions to Building 50 (it will be just above you). Alternatively, it's a short but steep walk from the UC Berkeley campus. Most of us are on the 5th floor of Building 50. My office (50A-5104C) is within the "Jackson interaction area" in the northern wing of building 50 (building 50A). Information about food: Our cafeteria is currently being rebuilt, so we have food trucks on site as a temporary option. You can check the current menu here, and we recommend ordering online in advance to avoid long lines around noon. Alternatively, you can grab food on your way up to the Lab — Euclid Avenue near the UC Berkeley campus is one of the nearest spots with several options. Please note that events with "lunch" in the title (like DESI Lunch or CMB Lunch) typically do not include food, so you're encouraged to bring your own or plan to eat before or after.
